"when you travel... and if you camp at night, avoid the road, for it is the refuge of wild animals at night." Narrated by Muslim (6/54) and others. See the previous number (1357). As for the other part, it has many supporting narrations from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and others; refer to "al-Targhīb" (1/82-83).

"There is no good in one who does not host guests." Narrated by Aḥmad (4/155): Ḥajjāj and Ḥasan ibn Mūsá said: Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us from Yazīd ibn Abī Ḥabīb from Abū al-Khayr from ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This isnād has narrators who are reliable according to the two Shaykhs except for Ibn Lahīʿah, who is weak due to poor memory, and this is how al-Haythamī criticized it, and al-Manāwī agreed. However, I say: al-Ruyānī also narrated it in his "Musnad" (folio 42/2) through Ibn Wahb from Ibn Lahīʿah with the same isnād. The ḥadīth of Ibn Lahīʿah from the narration of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb is authentic because he narrated from him before his memory deteriorated, as verified by some of the scholars, as explained in his biography, thus the ḥadīth is authentic with this narration, and all praise is due to Allāh.

"There is no staying up late except for one who prays or travels." Narrated by al-Ṭayālisī (1/73/294): Shuʿbah said: Manṣūr informed me, saying: I heard Khaythamah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrating from ʿAbd Allāh as a marfūʿ ḥadīth
