it is explicit that this army consists of disbelievers or rebels, and even if there are believers among them who are coerced, they are heading towards the House to attack the Muslims within. Thus, there is no contradiction, and all praise is due to Allāh.

"Do not settle on the main roads, nor relieve yourselves on them." Narrated by Abū Bakr ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Adab" (1/150/1): Yazīd narrated to us, Hishām narrated from al-Ḥasan from Jābir as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. It was also extracted by Ibn Mājah (3772) through the route of Abū Bakr. Aḥmad also extracted it (3/305) through another route from Hishām, with a more complete version, and likewise Abū Yaʿlá (2/594) through another route from Yazīd, who is Ibn Hārūn. Its narrators are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs, except that it is disconnected between al-Ḥasan—who is al-Baṣrī—and Jābir, as he did not hear from him, as I clarified in the other book (1140). Yes, Ibn Mājah extracted it (329) through the route of Zuhayr who said: Sālim said: I heard al-Ḥasan say: Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us: and he mentioned it with the wording: "Beware of resting on the main road and praying on it, for it is the abode of snakes and predators, and relieving oneself on it, for it is among the cursed places." I say: al-Ḥasan explicitly stated the narration and hearing from Jābir. But the chain to him is not authentic, for this Sālim—who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Khayyāṭ al-Baṣrī—was weakened by a group, and al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful, but with poor memory." And Zuhayr, the narrator from him, is Ibn Muḥammad al-Tamīmī al-Khurāsānī, and he is also weak. However, the ḥadīth of the chapter is authentic, as it has been reported in separate ḥadīths.
