- "He prohibited fasting on six days of the year: three days of Tashrīq, the day of Eid al-Fitr, the day of Eid al-Adha, and Friday specifically among the days." It was narrated by al-Ṭayālisī in "his Musnad" (1/191): al-Rabīʿ narrated to us from Yazīd al-Raqāshī from Anas as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I say: This isnād is weak, al-Raqāshī is weak. And al-Rabīʿ — who is Ibn Ṣubayḥ — is truthful but has poor memory. Al-Ṭaḥāwī also narrated it in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (1/429 and 430) from his route, but he did not mention Friday and Eid al-Fitr. Likewise, it was narrated by him and Abū Yaʿlá (3/1016) from the route of al-Rabīʿ as well, and Marzūq Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Shāmī said: Yazīd al-Raqāshī narrated it to us. And this Marzūq, Ibn Maʿīn said: "There is no harm in him." Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt." The ḥadīth has supporting narrations, as ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd narrated from his father (and it is said: from his grandfather) from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth similar to it, except that he mentioned: "The last day of Shaʿbān connected to Ramaḍān," instead of: "Friday." It was narrated by al-Bazzār (p. 104 - his additions), Ibn ʿAdī (213/1-2), and al-Bayhaqī (4/208) who said: "ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd al-Maqburī is not strong." Thus he said, and he is in a worse condition than mentioned, as he is abandoned as in "al-Taqrīb," and Ibn ʿAdī said: "Most of what he narrates has evident weakness."
