and al-Haythamī said in "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (3/303): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār, and in it is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Saʿīd al-Maqburī, who is weak." And he said regarding the ḥadīth of Anas: "It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá, and it is weak from all its paths." However, the ḥadīth is authentic, as it has been reported separately from Abū Hurayrah in different ḥadīths: the first: Ṣāliḥ ibn Abī al-Akhdar narrated from Ibn Shihāb from Ibn al-Musayyib from him: "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) commanded ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥudhāfah to announce during the days of Miná: Do not fast on these days, for they are days of eating, drinking, and remembering Allāh." It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī and Aḥmad (2/513 and 535). Aḥmad and others have another chain for it and many supporting narrations, which were previously referenced under number (1282). The second: from al-Aʿraj from him: "that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) forbade fasting on two days: the day of al-Aḍḥá and the day of al-Fiṭr." It was recorded by al-Shaykhān and al-Bayhaqī (4/297) and others, and it has supporting narrations that I referenced in "al-Irwāʾ" (944). The third: from Abū Ṣāliḥ from him in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Do not fast on Friday unless you fast a day before it or a day after it." It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī and others, and Muslim narrated it through another chain with a similar wording, both of which were previously referenced under numbers (980 and 981). The fourth: from Abū Salamah from him in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "Do not precede Ramadan by fasting a day or two before it, unless it is a man who habitually fasts, in which case he may fast."
