and it was narrated by Baqiyyah from Buḥayr ibn Saʿd from Khālid ibn Maʿdān from Jubayr ibn Nufayr from Abū Thaʿlabah with a similar narration, and he said: "And the animal that is tied and shot at is not permissible." It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (2/199/210) and Aḥmad (4/194). 3 - From Jābir, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "And the animal that is tied and shot at is forbidden." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/323). I say: Its narrators are according to the criteria of Muslim. 4 - From al-ʿIrbāḍ ibn Sāriyah, raised [to the Prophet] similar to the ḥadīth of Jābir. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/127). Its narrators are trustworthy except for Umm Ḥabībah bint al-ʿIrbāḍ, and she is acceptable. 5 - From Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] similar to the ḥadīth of Jābir. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/366). I say: Its isnād is good. 6 - From Samurah who said: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) forbade tying up an animal and shooting at it, and eating its meat if it was tied up." It was recorded by al-ʿUqaylī in "al-Ḍuʿafāʾ" through the route of al-Ḥasan from him, and he said: "There are authentic ḥadīths regarding the prohibition of tying up an animal, but the prohibition of eating it is only known from this [ḥadīth]." I say: This is what he said, but it is contradicted by the ḥadīth of the chapter and the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās (number 1)
