"Whoever has a treaty with a people, let him not dissolve it nor reinforce it until its term has passed, or he declares it to them on equal terms." It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī (1/240/2075): Shuʿbah narrated to us from Abū al-Fiḍḍ al-Shāmī who said: I heard Sulaym ibn ʿĀmir say: "There was a treaty between Muʿāwiyah and the Romans, and he would travel in their lands until the treaty expired, then he would raid them. And there was a man on a mount or a horse saying: Allāh is the Greatest, fulfillment not betrayal, (twice), and it was ʿAmr ibn ʿAbasah al-Sulamī. Muʿāwiyah said to him: What do you say? ʿAmr said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: (and he mentioned it), so Muʿāwiyah returned with the people." It was also recorded by Abū Dāwūd (1/434), al-Tirmidhī (1580), and Aḥmad (4/358-386) through various chains from Shuʿbah with it, and al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥadīth that is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ." I say: Its isnād is ṣaḥīḥ, its men are trustworthy.

"Whoever has land and wants to sell it, let him offer it to his neighbor." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2493) and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (65/55/1) from Sharīk from Simāk from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās from the Prophet ﷺ who said: and he mentioned it. This isnād is weak, Simāk — who is Ibn Ḥarb — is truthful, as the ḥāfiẓ said, but his narration from ʿIkrimah specifically is inconsistent, and he changed towards the end of his life, so he might have been prompted
