" It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá and al-Bazzār, and in its isnād is ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl, who is weak due to his poor memory." I referred back to "Zawāʾid al-Bazzār," and I found the ḥadīth in it at the beginning of "Kitāb al-Īmān" (p. 2) through the route of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) ...the ḥadīth. Thus, in the original there is a blank space, so I could not confirm whether the ḥadīth is from the Musnad of ʿUmar or his son ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar. The former seems more likely to me, as I did not find the ḥadīth from Ibn ʿUmar in any other source, but I found it in "al-Majmaʿ" (1/32) also narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" from ʿUmar as well, and he said: "In it is Ḥajjāj ibn Naṣīr, and most scholars consider him weak." The story of ʿUmar with Abū Hurayrah regarding the Prophet's (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) command to Abū Hurayrah to give glad tidings to the people with this ḥadīth, and ʿUmar's statement to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam): "Do not do so, for I fear that people will rely on it, so let them continue to work," and his (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) saying, "So let them." This story is well-known and established in "Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim" (1/44-45) and others. Therefore, it is more likely that ʿUmar is the one who narrated this ḥadīth. And Allāh knows best. I became certain of this after "Kashf al-Astār ʿan Zawāʾid al-Bazzār" was printed, as it is in it (1/12/9) from Ibn ʿAqīl from Ibn ʿUmar from ʿUmar.. I said: And its isnād is ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ with what preceded it. There are many well-known ḥadīths with similar meanings, and one of them will come soon from the ḥadīth of Jābir (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu) and others (2355).

It was narrated by al-Nasāʾī (2/174), al-Ḥākim (2/159), and Abū Nuʿaym (4/21) from Maʿmar ibn Rāshid from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṭāwūs from his father from Ibn al-Zubayr who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it, and al-Ḥākim said:
