It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2258) and al-Ḥākim (3/342) from al-Naḍr ibn Muḥammad who narrated to us from ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār, who narrated to us from Abū Zumayl, from Mālik ibn Murthad, from his father, from him. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of Muslim," and al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: It is as they said, with a slight weakness in ʿIkrimah ibn ʿAmmār. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Truthful but makes mistakes, and his narrations from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr are inconsistent."
