"with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād"! and al-Dhahabī agreed with him! I say: It is not surprising from al-Ḥākim, as his leniency is well-known, but the surprise is in al-Dhahabī following him and overlooking his own statement in "al-Mughnī": "Yazīd ibn Sinān Abū Furwah al-Rahāwī, well-known, was deemed weak by Aḥmad and Ibn al-Madīnī"! Yes, the ḥadīth has a good supporting narration reported by ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn ʿAqīl from al-Ṭufayl ibn Abī ibn Kaʿb from his father, in a marfūʿ form. And he added: "The quaking one came, followed by the subsequent one, death came with what it contains." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/308) and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (8/377) in full, and by Aḥmad (5/136) only the addition, as well as al-Tirmidhī (2459) who said: "A ḥasan ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth." And I say: It is only ḥasan due to the well-known disagreement regarding Ibn ʿAqīl. In summary, with this supporting narration, the ḥadīth is ṣaḥīḥ.
" صحيح الإسناد "! ووافقه الذهبي! قلت: لا عجب من الحاكم، فتساهله معروف، وإنما العجب من متابعة الذهبي إياه وغفلته عن قوله هو نفسه في " المغني ": " يزيد بن سنان أبو فروة الرهاوي، مشهور، ضعفه أحمد وابن المديني "! نعم، للحديث شاهد جيد يرويه عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل عن الطفيل بن أبي ابن كعب عن أبيه مرفوعا به. وزاد: " جاءت الراجفة، تتبعها الرادفة، جاء الموت بما فيه ". أخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ٣٠٨) وأبو نعيم في " الحلية " (٨ / ٣٧٧) بتمامه وأحمد (٥ / ١٣٦) الزيادة فقط، وكذا الترمذي (٢٤٥٩) وقال: " حديث حسن صحيح ". وأقول: إنما هو حسن فقط للخلاف المعروف في ابن عقيل. وبالجملة، فالحديث بهذا الشاهد صحيح.
"Whoever Allāh created for one of the two abodes, He prepares him for its deeds, and the confirmation of this is in the Book of Allāh: * (And [by] the soul and He who proportioned it. And inspired it [with discernment of] its wickedness and its righteousness) * (Sūrah 91:7-8)." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/438): Ṣafwān ibn ʿĪsá narrated to us, ʿAzrah ibn Thābit informed us from Yaḥyá ibn ʿAqīl from Ibn Yaʿmar from Abū al-Aswad al-Duʾalī who said:
" من كان الله ﷿ خلقه لواحدة من المنزلتين يهيئه لعملها، وتصديق ذلك في كتاب الله ﷿: * (ونفس وما سواها. فألهمها فجورها وتقواها) * (١) ". أخرجه أحمد (٤ / ٤٣٨): حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى أنبأنا عزرة بن ثابت عن يحيى بن عقيل عن ابن يعمر عن أبي الأسود الديلي قال:
