that Junādah ibn Abī Umayyah led a group in prayer, and when he finished the prayer, he turned to his right and said: "Do you approve?" They replied: "Yes." Then he did the same on his left, and then said: "I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say," and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is very weak, its flaw being Abū Bakr al-Hudhalī, who is abandoned in ḥadīth. And Shahr ibn Ḥawshab has poor memory. It was extracted by al-Ṭabarānī through his route as in "Fayḍ al-Qadīr." However, the ḥadīth has been authenticated by the collective narrations of a group of Companions with similar wording, so refer to "al-Targhīb" (1/171) along with our commentary on it.

- "Whoever sells two transactions in one sale, he shall have the lesser of the two or usury." It was narrated by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (6/120/502) and from him (3461), and by Ibn Ḥibbān in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (1110), as well as by al-Ḥākim (2/45) and al-Bayhaqī (5/343): narrated to us by Ibn Abī Zāʾidah from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr from Abū Salamah from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ. I said: This isnād is ḥasan and it was authenticated by al-Ḥākim, with al-Dhahabī agreeing, and then Ibn Ḥazm in "al-Muḥallá" (9/16). It was also narrated by al-Nasāʾī (7/296 - new edition), al-Tirmidhī (1/232) who authenticated it, Ibn al-Jārūd (286), Ibn Ḥibbān also (1109), and al-Baghawī in "Sharḥ al-Sunnah" (8/142/211) who also authenticated it, and by Aḥmad (2/432, 475, 503) and al-Bayhaqī through routes from Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr with the wording: "He forbade two transactions in one sale."
