from Ibn Shihāb with it, limiting it to the text alone, and he did not mention Ibn Ziyād in it. There is another chain for the ḥadīth from Ibn ʿAbbās, in which it is more famous, narrated by ʿAlī ibn Zayd ibn Judʿān from ʿUmar ibn Ḥurmalah from him with it. It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2/135), al-Tirmidhī (3451), Ibn al-Sunnī (468), Aḥmad (1/284), and Ibn Saʿd (1/397), and al-Tirmidhī said: "A good ḥadīth." I say: It is as he said when considering both chains together; otherwise, Ibn Judʿān has poor memory. And Allāh knows best.

- "Whoever performs ghusl on Friday will be in a state of purity until the next Friday." It was narrated by Ibn Khuzaymah (176), Ibn Ḥibbān (561), al-Ḥākim (1/282), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (50/2 of its arrangement) from Hārūn ibn Muslim al-ʿAjlī al-Baṣrī, who said: Ḥaddathanā Abān ibn Yazīd from Yaḥyá ibn Abī Kathīr from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Abī Qatādah, who said: My father came to me while I was performing ghusl on Friday, and he said: Is this ghusl from janābah or for Friday? I said: From janābah. He said: Perform another ghusl, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. Al-Ṭabarānī said: "It was not narrated from Yaḥyá except by Abān, and not from him except by Hārūn." I say: He is truthful, as the ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb." And those above him are trustworthy from the men of the two Shaykhs. Al-Ḥākim said: "Authentic according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and Hārūn ibn Muslim al-ʿAjlī is also known as al-Ḥanāʾī
