Salamah al-Murādī reported from ʿUbaydah al-Salmānī who said: I came upon ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd while he was in his vestibule, and he said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. I said: This isnād is weak, its narrators are trustworthy—except for al-Murādī, who is weak—and Abū Yaḥyá al-Taymī, whose name is Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm al-Aḥwal, and he is weak as noted in "al-Taqrīb." Ibn ʿAdī said: "There is no ḥadīth with a problematic text among what he narrates, and his ḥadīth is written." I said: He did not narrate it alone, for Ibn ʿAsākir said after it: "Yaʿqūb said: Ibn ʿUbaydah also narrated it from al-Aʿmash." I said: I do not know who is meant by Ibn ʿUbaydah here. - "Whoever is provided food by Allāh, let him say: O Allāh, bless it for us and provide us with something better than it.
