this Ḥulwānī, who was authenticated by al-Dāraqutnī, as well as Abū Zurʿah, since he narrated from him. And this Ḥulwānī was narrated from by a group of ḥadīth scholars such as Aḥmad, Ibn Maʿīn, and others, and a group authenticated him, mentioned by al-Khaṭīb in "Tārīkh" (5/212-213). Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (10/208): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ," and its narrators are trustworthy." Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (2/268): "It was narrated by al-Bayhaqī with an isnād that is acceptable." Then I saw the ḥadīth in "Zawāʾid al-Muʿjamayn" (p. 465 - Ḥaram Makkī edition), and in it, "ʿAtīq ibn Yaʿqūb" is mentioned correctly. All praise is due to Allāh for His guidance. It also appeared in "Shuʿab al-Īmān" (1/364) by al-Bayhaqī through the route of Ḥulwānī. Then I returned to "al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ," and I found the ḥadīth in it (1/48/826) correctly as well, and all praise is due to Allāh, Lord of all worlds.

"Whoever is pleased to find the taste of faith, let him love a person only for the sake of Allāh." It was narrated by al-Ṭayālisī (2495), Aḥmad (2/298, 520), and al-Bazzār (1/50/63) through various routes from Shuʿbah, who informed me that Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaym heard from ʿAmr ibn Maymūn from Abū Hurayrah from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). I said: This isnād is good, its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for Yaḥyá ibn Abī Sulaym, who is Abū Balj al-Fazārī al-Wāsiṭī, and he is truthful though he may err, as the ḥāfiẓ said. And al-Haythamī said about the ḥadīth (1/90):
