that he would sometimes err and make mistakes regarding trustworthy individuals. al-Dāraquṭnī mentioned in "al-Gharāʾib" that he was unique in narrating this ḥadīth from Mālik, and that he made an error in it, confusing one ḥadīth with another as noted in "al-Lisān". Muḥammad ibn al-Mughīrah, according to al-Sulaymānī, "there is doubt concerning him." The third: from Khulayd ibn Daʿlaj from Qatādah from him. It was recorded by Ibn ʿAdī (120/1). And Khulayd is weak. The fourth: from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Tammām, narrated to us by Yūnus ibn ʿUbayd from al-Ḥasan from him. It was also recorded by Ibn ʿAdī (237/1), who said: "ʿUbayd Allāh ibn Tammām narrates some objectionable reports, and no trustworthy person corroborates him on this." 2 - The ḥadīth of ʿAmmār, for which there are two paths from him: the first: from al-Fuḍayl ibn Sulaymān, narrated to us by Mūsá ibn ʿUqbah from ʿUbayd ibn Salmān al-Agharr from his father from him. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2307), al-Bazzār (2843 - al-Kashf), al-Rāmahurmuzī in "al-Amthāl", al-Bayhaqī in "al-Zuhd", and al-Shāmūkhī in "his section" (number 10), and al-Bazzār said, "This isnād is the best that is narrated in this from ʿAmmār." I said: And its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs, except for ʿUbayd ibn Salmān al-Agharr, who is truthful, and in al-Fuḍayl ibn Sulaymān, who is al-Namīrī, there is weakness due to his memory as noted in "al-Taqrīb": "truthful, but he makes many mistakes."
