"al-Tahdhīb" except for Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Muhāribī, Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (2/1/185) from his father: "He is ṣāliḥ al-ḥadīth." As for Mālik ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Tujībī, Ibn Abī Ḥātim said (4/1/214): "I heard from him in Egypt, and he was truthful." He has also been corroborated as will be mentioned. Al-Haythamī said about the ḥadīth (2/302): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Kabīr', and its men are trustworthy." Al-Munāwī reported from him that he said: "Sālim ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Bukhārī (sic) al-Shāmī, I did not find anyone who mentioned him, and the rest of its men are trustworthy!" Thus he said, and we have known him, all praise is due to Allāh, as we have explained. The ḥadīth was also narrated by Ibn Abī al-Dunyā in "al-Maraḍ wa-al-Kaffārāt" (195/2) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (8/115/7485) through two other routes from Khālid ibn Yazīd with it.

"There is no soul that dies while bearing witness that there is no deity but Allāh and that I am the Messenger of Allāh, with that returning to a certain heart, except that Allāh will forgive it." It was narrated by Ibn Mājah (2/419), Ibn Ḥibbān (5), Aḥmad (5/229), and al-Ḥumaydī (370) from Ḥiṣān ibn al-Kāhil from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Samurah from Muʿādh ibn Jabal in a marfūʿ form. From this route, it was also narrated by al-Nasāʾī in "al-Yawm wa-al-Laylah" (1136-1139) as well as by Ibn Abī Shaybah, Aḥmad ibn Manīʿ, and Abū Yaʿlá as in "Zawāʾid al-Būṣīrī" (228/2)
