I said: Did he say it? He said: He said it. I said: Did he say it? He said: He said it. So I glorified Allāh, praised Allāh, and thanked Him. I said: And this is a sound isnād: Rūḥ is Ibn ʿUbādah, and he is trustworthy among the men of the two Shaykhs. And Ḥabīb ibn Shihāb al-ʿAnbarī is trustworthy without dispute, and he is mentioned in "Taʿjīl al-Manfaʿah" and his father Shihāb, was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān (4/363) and Abū Zurʿah as in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl". He was followed by Qulūṣ bint ʿAlībah: I heard Shihāb ibn Mudlij narrate to us that Abū Hurayrah said that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "The best of people is a man who avoids the evils of people."
قال: قلت: أقالها؟ قال: قالها. قلت: أقالها؟ قال: قالها. فكبرت الله، وحمدت الله وشكرته. قلت: وهذا إسناد صحيح: روح هو ابن عبادة، وهو ثقة من رجال الشيخين. وحبيب بن شهاب العنبري ثقة بلا خلاف، وهو مترجم في "تعجيل المنفعة" وأبوه شهاب، وثقه ابن حبان (٤ / ٣٦٣) وأبو زرعة كما في "الجرح والتعديل". وقد تابعه القلوص بنت عليبة: سمعت شهاب بن مدلج حدثنا أبو هريرة أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "خير الناس رجل تنحى عن شرور الناس".

- "There are no two Muslims who have three children who die before reaching the age of accountability except that Allāh will admit them to Paradise by His mercy towards them. And there is no Muslim who spends a pair from his wealth in the way of Allāh except that the gatekeepers of Paradise will hasten to him (all of them inviting him to what is before him)." It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (4/260/2929 and 7/77-78/4624-4626) and Abū ʿAwānah in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (8/8-9 manuscript of al-Ẓāhiriyyah) and al-Bayhaqī (9/171) - and the addition is his - and Aḥmad (5/151, 159, 164) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr" (2/154-155/1644 and 1645) through the route of Ṣaʿṣaʿah ibn Muʿāwiyah from Abū Dharr as a marfūʿ narration. Ibn Ḥibbān and others added: "And what are a pair from his wealth? He said: Two slaves from his servants, two horses from his horses, two camels from his camels." It was also recorded by al-Nasāʾī as a marfūʿ narration (1874 and 3185), and with him is the meaning of the addition
- "ما من مسلمين يموت لهما ثلاثة من الولد لم يبلغوا الحنث إلا أدخلهما الله الجنة بفضل رحمته إياهم. وما من مسلم ينفق من زوجين من ماله في سبيل الله إلا ابتدره حجبة الجنة (كلهم يدعوه إلى ما قبله)". أخرجه ابن حبان في "صحيحه" (٤ / ٢٦٠ / ٢٩٢٩ و ٧ / ٧٧ - ٧٨ / ٤٦٢٤ - ٤٦٢٦) وأبو عوانة في "صحيحه" (٨ / ٨ - ٩ مخطوطة الظاهرية) والبيهقي (٩ / ١٧١) - والزيادة له - وأحمد (٥ / ١٥١ و ١٥٩ و ١٦٤) والطبراني في "المعجم الكبير" (٢ / ١٥٤ - ١٥٥ / ١٦٤٤ و ١٦٤٥) من طريق صعصعة بن معاوية عن أبي ذر مرفوعا به. زاد ابن حبان وغيره: "وما زوجان من ماله؟ قال: عبدان من رقيقه فرسان من خيله بعيران من إبله". وأخرجه النسائي مرفوعا (١٨٧٤ و ٣١٨٥)، وعنده معنى الزيادة.
