and I do not wish to have a single gold coin, that a third day passes by with a dinar of it in my possession except for something I set aside for a debt. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/506): Yazīd narrated to us, Ibn Abī Dhiʾb informed us from Abū al-Walīd from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with it. This is a sound chain according to the criteria of the six [books], and Abū al-Walīd's name is ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith al-Baṣrī. It was also recorded by Ibn Mājah (4132) through the route of Abū Suhayl ibn Mālik from his father from Abū Hurayrah with the wording: except for something I reserve for the repayment of a debt. Its chain is good.

I do not wish to greet a man while he is praying, but if he greeted me, I would respond to him. Mawqūf. It was recorded by al-Ṭaḥāwī in "Sharḥ al-Maʿānī" (1/264) through two routes from al-Aʿmash who said: Abū Sufyān told me, I heard Jābir say: and he mentioned it as mawqūf upon him. I say: This is a good isnād according to the criteria of Muslim. It is mawqūf as you see, and al-Suyūṭī mentioned it in "al-Jāmiʿayn" from the narration of al-Ṭaḥāwī from Jābir, implying it was marfūʿ, and al-Munāwī did not notice this, sufficing with saying: the author indicated its goodness!
