and it has another supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, and it is documented in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (2108). I have also found another chain from him with the wording: "and he respects our elder and acknowledges the right of our scholar." Thus, it combines both wordings. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (3/154-155) from Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd Allāh from al-Minhāl ibn ʿAmr from Saʿīd ibn Jubayr from him. Muḥammad ibn ʿUbayd Allāh is likely al-ʿArzamī, who is abandoned. A similar ḥadīth from Abū Umāmah is reported with the wording: "Whoever does not show mercy to our young and respect our elder is not from us." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab" (356) from al-Walīd ibn Jamīl from al-Qāsim ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from him. This isnād is ḥasan. It has another supporting narration with this wording from the ḥadīth of ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit, and its isnād is also ḥasan as I have verified in "al-Targhīb" (1/66).

"Did these people not ask for well-being?!" It was recorded by al-Bazzār in "Musnad" (3134 - Kashf al-Astār): ʿAbbās ibn Jaʿfar al-Baghdādī narrated to us, Yazīd ibn Mihrān narrated to us, Abū Bakr ibn ʿAyyāsh narrated from Ḥumayd from Anas that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) passed by a group of afflicted people, and he said: then he mentioned it. He said: "We do not know anyone who narrated it from Ḥumayd except Ibn ʿAyyāsh." I say: and he is trustworthy, from the men of al-Bukhārī
