that he saw a man with a brass ring on his arm, and he asked him: What is this? He said: It was prescribed to me for weakness. He said: If you had died while it was on you, you would have been entrusted to it. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: and he mentioned it. This story is not found with al-Bazzār, and he said: "We do not know it from ʿImrān except through this path, and Abū Ḥamzah is a Basran, and there is no harm in him." I said: In "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful, but criticized for his views on predestination." Thus, the chain is good except for al-Ḥasan's ʿanʿanah—who is the Basran—as he is a mudallis, with disagreement on the confirmation of his hearing from him in general. However, it is supported by the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet]. It was also narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (p. 393 - Ḥaram) from Zamaʿah ibn Ṣāliḥ from Salamah ibn Wuhārām from ʿIkrimah from Ibn ʿAbbās, raised [to the Prophet].
