Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic, and His Messenger have forbidden you from drinking wine and its price, and have forbidden you from eating carrion and its price, and have forbidden you from pigs, eating them, and their price. He said: Trim the mustaches and let the beards grow, and do not walk in the markets unless you are wearing the waist wraps. He is not one of us who follows the sunnah of others. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (3/118/1) from Abū Yaḥyá al-Ḥammānī from Yūsuf ibn Maimūn from ʿAṭāʾ from him. This isnād is weak. Yūsuf ibn Maimūn, who is the dyer, was said by al-Ḥāfiẓ to be "weak." I say: And Abū Yaḥyá al-Ḥammānī is also weak. Al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (5/169): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ', and in it is Yūsuf ibn Maimūn, who was weakened by Aḥmad, al-Bukhārī, and a group, but Ibn Ḥibbān declared him trustworthy, and the rest of its narrators are trustworthy!" The second statement: "Do not resemble the Jews or the Christians." It has been authenticated from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and al-Zubayr, and they are both extracted in "Ḥijāb al-Marʾah al-Muslimah" (p. 96). The rest has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Jābir, raised [to the Prophet], and it is also extracted in the previous source (p. 98) and was previously extracted as well under number (1783).

He is not one of us who practices augury or for whom augury is practiced, or who practices soothsaying or for whom soothsaying is practiced, or who practices magic or for whom magic is practiced. It was recorded by al-Bazzār (p. 169 - Zawāʾid) and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (folio 73/1 - selected from it) from Isḥāq ibn al-Rabīʿ Abū Ḥamzah al-ʿAṭṭār from al-Ḥasan from ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn:
