"there is no retaliation for a head wound, a deep wound, or a broken bone." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah (2/140-141) and Abū Yaʿlá (4/1580), and from him by al-Bayhaqī, from Rushdīn ibn Saʿd, from Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ, from Muʿādh ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī, from Ibn Aṣbahān, from him. I said: This isnād is weak. Ibn Aṣbahān, the ḥāfiẓ said: "His name is ʿUqbah, I think. If so, his narration is disconnected; otherwise, he is unknown." I said: His assertion of disconnection is questionable, for they mentioned his narration from ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān, and his death was in the year thirty-five, while al-ʿAbbās died in the year two, or it is said three, or four and thirty. And Allāh knows best. And Muʿādh ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī was narrated from by a group of trustworthy narrators, and Ibn Ḥibbān deemed him reliable. And the ḥāfiẓ said: "Acceptable." And Rushdīn ibn Saʿd is weak. But he was followed by Ibn Lahīʿah from Muʿādh with it. It was narrated by Abū Yaʿlá. I said: Thus, the ḥadīth is ḥasan in my view, considering both chains. And Allāh knows best. Then Abū Yaʿlá (4/1581) narrated from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Wahb, who reported to us from Ibn Lahīʿah, from Muʿādh ibn Muḥammad al-Anṣārī, who said: ʿAmr ibn Maʿdī Karib informed me: "A man from Banī Kinānah received a head wound, and ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb wanted to retaliate against him, but al-ʿAbbās said to him: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) (and he mentioned), so he imposed the blood money." And this ʿAmr is two individuals, as in "al-Jarḥ" (3/1/260), and nothing was mentioned about them
" لا قود في المأمومة ولا الجائفة ولا المنقلة ". أخرجه ابن ماجة (٢ / ١٤٠ - ١٤١) وأبو يعلى (٤ / ١٥٨٠) وعنه البيهقي عن رشدين بن سعد عن معاوية بن صالح عن معاذ بن محمد الأنصاري عن ابن أصبهان عنه. قلت: وهذا إسناد ضعيف، ابن أصبهان قال الحافظ: " اسمه عقبة فيما أظن، فإن كان فروايته منقطعة، وإلا فمجهول ". قلت: جزمه بالانقطاع فيه نظر، فقد ذكروا له رواية عن عثمان بن عفان، ووفاته سنة خمس وثلاثين، وكان وفاة العباس سنة اثنتين، وقيل: ثلاث، وقيل: أربع وثلاثين. والله أعلم. ومعاذ بن محمد الأنصاري روى عنه جمع من الثقات، ووثقه ابن حبان. وقال الحافظ: " مقبول ". ورشدين بن سعد ضعيف. لكن تابعه ابن لهيعة عن معاذ به. رواه أبو يعلى. قلت: فالحديث حسن عندي بمجموع الطريقين. والله أعلم. ثم روى أبو يعلى (٤ / ١٥٨١) عن عبد الله بن وهب حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن معاذ بن محمد الأنصاري قال: أخبرني عمرو بن معدي كرب: " أصاب رجلا من بني كنانة مأمومة، فأراد عمر بن الخطاب أن يقيد منه، فقال له العباس: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ: (فذكر) ، فأغرمه العقل ". وعمرو هذا اثنان كما في " الجرح " (٣ / ١ / ٢٦٠) ولم يذكر فيهما شيئا.
