- "There is no one who loves praise more than Allāh, and no one who accepts excuses more than Allāh." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (1/42/2) from Mubārak ibn Faḍālah from al-Ḥasan al-Aswad ibn Surayʿ in a marfūʿ form. I say: This isnād is weak. However, it has a sound witness from the ḥadīth of al-Mughīrah ibn Shuʿbah who said: It reached the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) that Saʿd ibn ʿUbādah said: If I found a man with her, I would strike her with the sword without hesitation. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Are you amazed at Saʿd's sense of honor? I am more protective than Saʿd, and Allāh is more protective than me, and that is why He prohibited immoralities, both apparent and hidden. There is no one more protective than Allāh, and no one who loves excuses more, and that is why He sent the prophets as bringers of good tidings and warners, and no one loves praise more than Allāh, and that is why He promised Paradise." It was recorded by Muslim (4/211) and al-Dārimī (2/149).

- "He is not a believer whose neighbor is not safe from his harm." It was recorded by Ibn Naṣr in "al-Ṣalāh" (141/2) and al-Ḥākim (4/165) from Sinān ibn Saʿd al-Kindī from Anas ibn Mālik in a marfūʿ form. I say: al-Ḥākim and al-Dhahabī remained silent about it, and its isnād is good; its men are trustworthy, men of the two Shaykhs, except for this al-Kindī, about whom al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "Trustworthy, with unique narrations." And it has witnesses in "the two Ṣaḥīḥs" and others from the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah and others similar to it in wording:
