al-Mināwī reported from al-Dhahabī that he said: "This is objectionable." I said: However, it has been authentically connected through another route, as ʿAbd al-Razzāq also reported (19589) from Maʿmar, from al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ṣāliḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) similarly. He said: This reached ʿAlī, so he called for water and drank while standing. al-Ṭaḥāwī also reported it through another route from ʿAbd al-Razzāq, as he said in "Mushkil al-Āthār" (3/18): Fahd ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, Salamah ibn Shabīb narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd al-Razzāq narrated to us from Maʿmar with it. And Salamah ibn Shabīb is trustworthy among the shaykhs of Muslim. Thus, the isnād is authentic according to the criteria of the two shaykhs, so do not be deceived by al-Mināwī's extraction of the ḥadīth, as it is deficient and gives the impression that it is defective because he only mentioned it through the connected route of Zuhayr, which al-Dhahabī objected to, and from the first disconnected route! He did not mention the first connected route from ʿAbd al-Razzāq, and from him al-Bayhaqī as well! The ḥadīth has also been narrated from Abū Hurayrah in a raised form with different wording, but it is defective, and for that reason, I included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (927), and I mentioned there a strong supporting evidence from Abū Hurayrah as well, so refer to it.

"Let one of you have a grateful heart, a remembering tongue, and a righteous wife who helps him with the matters of the Hereafter." It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (3093), Ibn Mājah (1/571), Aḥmad (5/278 and 282), and Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (1/182 and 182-183) and al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar in "al-Aḥādīth al-ʿĀliyāt" (no. 15) from Sālim ibn Abī al-Jaʿd from Thawbān in a raised form. al-Tirmidhī said: "A ḥasan ḥadīth."
