and He commanded me to frequently say: "There is no power nor strength except with Allāh," for they are from a treasure beneath the Throne, (and in another narration: for it is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise). It was recorded by Imām Aḥmad (5/159) with this wording, and Ibn Ḥibbān in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (2041) with the other narration, and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Muʿjam al-Ṣaghīr" (p. 157 - Hind), and al-Kharāʾiṭī in "Makārim al-Akhlāq" (p. 25), and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Sunan" (10/91), as well as Abū Nuʿaym in "al-Ḥilyah" (2/357), and al-Khaṭīb in "al-Tārīkh" (5/254) through various chains from Muḥammad ibn Wāsiʿ from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāmit from Abū Dharr who said: and he mentioned it. I say: This isnād is authentic, all its men are trustworthy. It was corroborated by Budayl ibn Maysarah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ṣāmit with it, except for the fourth advice, which is the narration of Ibn Ḥibbān. It was recorded by al-Bazzār (3309). It was corroborated by ʿUmar, the freed slave of Ghufrah, from Muḥammad ibn Kaʿb from Abū Dharr with it, except for the fourth and sixth advice. It was recorded by Aḥmad and his son ʿAbd Allāh (5/173). And this ʿUmar is weak, but I was impressed—by Allāh—by his statement after the ḥadīth: "I do not know if any of the five remain with us except this: our saying: (There is no power nor strength except with Allāh)."
