anas ibn mālik narrated to them, saying: "as we recognize the Prophet's (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) departure by the fragrance of perfume." but Yazīd al-Raqāshī is weak. and Abū Bishr, the Basran (also called al-Qurrāʾ and al-Muqriʾ), Abū Ḥātim said: "I do not know him." then al-Dārimī narrated from the route of Isḥāq ibn al-Faḍl ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Hāshimī, who informed us through al-Mughīrah ibn ʿAṭiyyah from Abū al-Zubayr from Jābir: "that the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) did not take a path, or would not take a path, without someone following him knowing that he had taken it from the fragrance of his sweat, or he said: from the scent of his sweat." I said: and this isnād is weak, Abū al-Zubayr is a mudallis and he narrated it with ʿanʿanah. and al-Mughīrah ibn ʿAṭiyyah is unknown, Ibn Abī Ḥātim mentioned him in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (4/1/227) from this narration, and he did not mention any criticism or endorsement about him. and Isḥāq ibn al-Faḍl ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Hāshimī was mentioned by al-Ṭūsī in "Rijāl" (p. 149) among the companions of Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq, number (134), and he did not mention any criticism or endorsement about him, as is often his habit! and he added to what is in this isnād that he was a Madinan. he mentioned him among the companions of al-Bāqir (p. 104, number 17): "Ismāʿīl ibn al-Faḍl ibn Yaʿqūb ibn al-Faḍl ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib, trustworthy, from the people of Basra." and the commentator mentioned that he is the first Madinan, following al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Ḥajar in "al-Lisān," but this seems unlikely to me due to the difference in their grandfather's names and lineage. And Allāh knows best. then I found another route for the ḥadīth of Anas, narrated by Bishr ibn Sayḥān, who informed us through ʿUmar ibn Saʿīd
