send us to Khaybar, so I hope you will grant us some spoils, and I will return to repay it. He said: Give him his due. It was said: The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would not repeat himself after saying something three times. So Ibn Abī Ḥadrad took him to the market, with a bandage on his head and wrapped in a cloak. He removed the turban from his head and wrapped it around himself, and removed the cloak, saying: Buy this cloak from me. He sold it for four dirhams. An old woman passed by and said: What is wrong with you, Companion of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)? He informed her, and she said: Here, take this, with a cloak she placed on him. Recorded by Aḥmad (3/423). I say: This isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, and Ibn Abī Ḥadrad's name is ʿAbdullāh and he was a Companion, as stated by Ibn Abī Ḥātim (2/2/38). Al-Munāwī quoted al-ʿIrāqī as saying it is ḥasan.

"He would not be asked for anything except that he gave it, or remained silent." Recorded by al-Ḥākim (2/130) from al-Ḥārith ibn Abī Usāmah: Rūḥ ibn ʿUbādah narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us from Isḥāq ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn Abī Ṭalḥah from Anas ibn Mālik (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu): "That Hawāzin came on the day of Ḥunayn with women, children, camels, and sheep, and they lined them up to appear numerous against the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). The Muslims and the polytheists met, and the Muslims turned back as Allāh said. The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: I am the servant of Allāh, His Messenger. And he said: O group of Anṣār! I am the servant of Allāh and His Messenger. Allāh defeated the polytheists without a spear being thrust or a sword being struck. The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said that day: Whoever kills a disbeliever will have his spoils. Abū Qatādah killed twenty men that day and took their spoils. Abū Qatādah said: O Messenger of Allāh! I struck a man on the shoulder strap, and he had armor, but I was too hasty to take his spoils. Look who it is, O Messenger of Allāh? A man said: O Messenger of Allāh! I took it, so please satisfy him from it, and give it to me! The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) remained silent, and he would not (he mentioned it). ʿUmar said: By Allāh, Allāh will not grant spoils to one of His lions and give it to you! The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) laughed." And he said:
