Muslim (7/86), al-Tirmidhī, Ibn Saʿd (1/425), and al-Ṭabarānī (3/94/2 and 98/1) also narrated through various chains from Samāk ibn Ḥarb from Jābir ibn Samurah who said: "I saw the seal between the shoulders of the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), a red swelling like a pigeon’s egg."

"He was compassionate and no one would come to him without him promising and fulfilling for them if he had [what they needed]." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (278) and in "al-Tārīkh" (2/2/211) from Saḥāmah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Aṣamm who said: I heard Anas ibn Mālik say "(and he mentioned it)." A Bedouin came to him and took hold of his garment, saying: "Only a small part of my need remains, and I fear I will forget it." So he went with him until he fulfilled his need, then he returned and prayed." I say: This isnād is good; its men are trustworthy, the men of al-Bukhārī, except for this Saḥāmah, whom Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned in "al-Thiqāt" and a group of trustworthy narrators have reported from him. The ḥāfiẓ said: "Acceptable." This, in my opinion, is insufficient, and my experience with him is that he often says in such cases: "Truthful," and this is more appropriate because he is a reliable follower. There is another chain for its first part, as al-Ṭayālisī said in "Musnad" (2432 - his arrangement): Ḥammād ibn Zayd narrated to us from Ayyūb from Anas with it, and he added: "with the dependents." I say: This isnād is authentic; its men are the men of the two Shaykhs, and Ibn Ḥibbān's statement in "al-Thiqāt": "It is said that he heard from Anas, but this is not authentic according to me." So it is not flawed by discontinuity because the ḥāfiẓ has asserted in "al-Tahdhīb" that he saw Anas, and his age
