I said: It has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Umm Salamah, raised with the wording: "... his face turned red." It was recorded by Abū al-Shaykh (p. 69) from Jaʿfar ibn Ziyād, who informed us from Jāmiʿ ibn Abī Rāshid - Jaʿfar said: I think - from Mundhir al-Thawrī from her. I said: This isnād [chain of transmission] consists of trustworthy men, except that it is disconnected between Mundhir and Umm Salamah. Al-Haythamī said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī, and it includes Ismāʿīl ibn ʿAmr al-Bajalī, who was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Ḥibbān and others, but weakened by al-Dāraqutnī and others, and the rest of its narrators are those of the authentic collections." I said: The isnād of Abū al-Shaykh is free from al-Bajalī, so I do not know if the isnād of al-Ṭabarānī is free from disconnection. Al-Haythamī's silence on it does not imply its freedom from disconnection. Among what supports it is the ḥadīth of Jābir (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu), raised: "When the Hour was mentioned, his cheeks would turn red, his voice would rise, and his anger would intensify..." It was recorded by Aḥmad (3/310-311, 338, 371). Its isnād is authentic according to the criteria of Muslim, and he included it in his "Ṣaḥīḥ" (3/11), but he did not provide its wording. And the ḥadīth of Zayd ibn Khālid: "The Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was asked about the stray camel, and he became angry, and his cheeks turned red, and he said: ..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/116), al-Shaykhān, and others.
