and the ḥadīth was mentioned by al-Haythamī in "al-Majmaʿ" (3/215): "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in 'al-Awsaṭ' and it includes Muḥammad ibn ʿAlī al-Marwazī, about whom there is some discussion, but he has been deemed trustworthy." I said: this does not harm [the ḥadīth], for he narrates it from Ibn Qahzādh, and others have corroborated him as mentioned, and I have reviewed the isnād of al-Ṭabarānī in "Zawāʾid" (1/113/1) and it was also narrated by al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Mukhtārah" (folio 246/2).

"When he circumambulated the House, he would wipe, or it was said: he would touch the Black Stone and the Yemeni Corner in every circuit." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (1/456), al-Bayhaqī (5/76), and Aḥmad (2/18) through various chains from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Abī Rawād from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar, attributed [to the Prophet]. Al-Ḥākim said: "The isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī agreed with him. I said: and it meets the criteria of Muslim.

"When he became angry, his cheeks would turn red." It was recorded by Abū Shaykh in "Akhlaq al-Nabī ﷺ" (p. 68) and al-Ṭabarānī (3/49/2) from Abū Yaḥyā al-Taymī who reported from Mukhāriq who reported from Ṭāriq ibn Shihāb who said: I heard Ibn Masʿūd say: and he mentioned it, attributed [to the Prophet]. I said: and its narrators are trustworthy except for Abū Yaḥyā al-Taymī, whose name is Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm; al-Haythamī said after attributing it to al-Ṭabarānī (8/278): "He is weak."
