and the third: from ʿAṭāʾ, also mursal. It was narrated by ʿAbd al-Razzāq, number (5281), and mentioned by ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq in "Aḥkāmuh" (73/1) from him. Its narrators are trustworthy, the narrators of the two Shaykhs [al-Bukhārī and Muslim]. Among what supports and strengthens the ḥadīth is the practice of the caliphs upon it. Ibn Abī Shaybah narrated from Abū Naḍrah who said: "ʿUthmān had grown old, so when he ascended the pulpit, he would greet and prolong [the greeting] for the duration it takes a person to recite Umm al-Kitāb [al-Fātiḥah]." Its isnād is authentic. Then he narrated from ʿAmr ibn Muhājir: "that ʿUmar ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, when he settled on the pulpit, would greet the people and they would respond to him." Its isnād is also authentic. There is another supporting narration for the ḥadīth from Ibn ʿUmar, raised [to the Prophet] with an addition for which I included it in "al-Ḍaʿīfah" (4194) from the narration of al-Bayhaqī and Ibn ʿAsākir.

"When he prayed the morning prayer while traveling, he would walk a little away from his mount." It was narrated by Abū ʿUthmān al-Najīrmī (2/4/2), Abū Nuʿaym (8/180), al-Bayhaqī (5/255), and al-Ḍiyāʾ in "al-Aḥādīth wa-al-Ḥikāyāt" (14/151/2) from Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Qahzādh. Abū al-Wazīr Muḥammad ibn Aʿyan narrated to us, ʿAbd Allāh informed us from Sulaymān ibn Bilāl from Yaḥyá ibn Saʿīd al-Anṣārī from Anas ibn Mālik, raised [to the Prophet]. Abū Nuʿaym said: "ʿAbd Allāh ibn al-Mubārak is the sole narrator of it." I said: He is a trustworthy leader from the narrators of the two Shaykhs, as are those above him. And those below him are two trustworthy narrators, so the isnād is authentic
