It was recorded by Ibn Mandah. And from the ḥadīth of ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd as a marfūʿ narration. It was recorded by Ibn Ḥibbān (2348).
أخرجه ابن منده. ومن حديث عبد الله بن مسعود مرفوعا. أخرجه ابن حبان (٢٣٤٨) .
"When he heard the muʾadhdhin, he would say what he says, until when he reached (ḥayya ʿalā aṣ-ṣalāh, ḥayya ʿalā al-falāḥ), he would say: There is no power and no strength except with Allāh." It was recorded by Aḥmad (6/9), al-Baghawī in "al-Jaʿdiyyāt" (folio 102/2), and Ibn al-Sunnī (89) from Sharīk, from ʿĀṣim ibn ʿUbayd Allāh, from ʿAlī ibn al-Ḥusayn, from Abū Rāfiʿ as a marfūʿ narration. I said: This isnād is weak due to the weakness of ʿĀṣim and Sharīk, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Qāḍī. However, the ḥadīth is authentic as it has a supporting narration from the ḥadīth of Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān with a similar wording. It was recorded by al-Dārimī (1/273), Ibn Khuzaymah in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (416), and Aḥmad (4/98) through the route of Muḥammad ibn ʿAmr, who said: My father narrated to me from my grandfather from him. This isnād has weakness, its men are trustworthy except for ʿAmr, who is Ibn ʿAlqamah ibn Waqāṣ, and no one narrated from him except his son Muḥammad. But he was followed by his brother ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlqamah ibn Waqāṣ from ʿAlqamah ibn Waqāṣ with it. It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/91-92). Thus, the isnād with this follow-up is ḥasan because this ʿAbd Allāh was narrated from by two people. It was also recorded by al-Bukhārī in "Ṣaḥīḥ" (no. 613), al-Dārimī, and Aḥmad (4/91) through another route in which there is an unnamed man. Ibn Khuzaymah (414) omitted him from his isnād, so it appeared connected! And there is another supporting narration from the ḥadīth of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb as a marfūʿ narration regarding the virtue of responding to the muʾadhdhin, and in it:
" كان إذا سمع المؤذن قال مثل ما يقول، حتى إذا بلغ (حي على الصلاة، حي على الفلاح) قال: لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله ". أخرجه أحمد (٦ / ٩) والبغوي في " الجعديات " (ق ١٠٢ / ٢) وابن السني (٨٩) عن شريك عن عاصم بن عبيد الله عن علي بن حسين عن أبي رافع مرفوعا. قلت: وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف عاصم وشريك وهو ابن عبد الله القاضي. لكن الحديث صحيح له شاهد من حديث معاوية بن أبي سفيان نحوه. أخرجه الدارمي (١ / ٢٧٣) وابن خزيمة في " صحيحه " (٤١٦) وأحمد (٤ / ٩٨) من طريق محمد بن عمرو قال: حدثني أبي عن جدي عنه. وهذا إسناد فيه ضعف، رجاله ثقات غير عمرو وهو ابن علقمة بن وقاص، لم يرو عنه غير ابنه محمد. لكن تابعه أخوه عبد الله بن علقمة بن وقاص عن علقمة بن وقاص به. أخرجه أحمد (٤ / ٩١ - ٩٢) . فالسند بهذه المتابعة حسن لأن عبد الله هذا روى عنه اثنان. وأخرجه البخاري في " صحيحه " (رقم ٦١٣) والدارمي وأحمد (٤ / ٩١) من طريق أخرى فيها رجل لم يسم. وأسقطه ابن خزيمة (٤١٤) من إسناده، فظهر متصلا! وللحديث شاهد آخر من حديث عمر بن الخطاب مرفوعا في فضل إجابة المؤذن وفيه:
