the younger one who is in the first path, and he has poor memory, but his agreement with his brother in some parts, and with the ḥadīth of Jābir in other parts, is evidence that he has remembered. And Allāh knows best.

" "When he would throw the pebbles at Jamrat al-ʿAqabah, he would proceed without stopping." It was recorded by Ibn Mājah in "his Sunan," number (3033), who said: Suwayd ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, ʿAlī ibn Mushir narrated to us from al-Ḥajjāj from al-Ḥakam ibn ʿUtaybah from Muqsim from Ibn ʿAbbās who said: and he mentioned it. I said: And this isnād is weak, due to the ʿanʿanah of al-Ḥajjāj who is Ibn Arṭāʾah, and the weakness of Suwayd ibn Saʿīd: but the ḥadīth is authentic as it was recorded by al-Bukhārī (1/438), Ibn Mājah (3032), al-Bayhaqī (5/148), and Aḥmad (2/152) from the ḥadīth of Ibn ʿUmar with the same wording.
