however, it is supported by the ḥadīth of Abū Hurayrah who said: "A dish of tharīd and meat was placed before the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), and he took the foreleg, which was the most beloved part of the sheep to him..." The ḥadīth in its entirety is about intercession. It was recorded by al-Bukhārī (2/334) and Muslim (1/129), with the wording from Muslim, and by Aḥmad (2/435). And the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah who said: "The most beloved meat to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was the foreleg." It was mentioned by Ibn Abī Ḥātim in "al-ʿIlal" (2/23) through the route of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd al-Malik al-Ḥizāmī from Ibn Abī Fudayk from Hishām ibn ʿUrwah from his father from ʿĀʾishah, and he said: "Abū Zurʿah said: It is a rejected ḥadīth." I say: however, it is supported by what precedes it, and its chain is good in terms of supporting evidence. And Allāh knows best.

- "He was the lightest of people in prayer for others, and the most consistent in prayer for himself (in another narration: and the longest in prayer for himself)." It was recorded by Aḥmad (5/219) and Abū Yaʿlá (1/402) through routes from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUthmān ibn Khuthaym, who narrated to us from Nāfiʿ ibn Sarjis: "that he entered upon Abū Wāqid al-Laythī, a Companion of the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), during his illness in which he died, and he said that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was..." I say: and this is a good isnād, its men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim except for this Ibn Sarjis, and Aḥmad said:
