was recorded in it from his two teachers (2/51/5861 and 2/207/8194 - my numbering) Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥaḍramī and Mūsá ibn Hārūn, both from Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mundhir al-Ḥazāmī: Maʿn ibn ʿĪsá narrated to us, Saʿīd ibn Bashīr narrated to us from Qatādah with it. He said: "No one narrated it from Qatādah except Saʿīd ibn Bashīr, and no one from Saʿīd except Maʿn; Ibrāhīm ibn al-Mundhir was unique in narrating it." I said: He is trustworthy among the teachers of al-Bukhārī, and likewise those above him are trustworthy among the men of the two Shaykhs, except for Saʿīd ibn Bashīr, who is like Suwayd in weakness. Al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif": "Al-Bukhārī said: They speak about his memory, and he is tolerable. Daḥīm said: Trustworthy, our elders considered him reliable, he was a Qadarī." I said: Thus, the ḥadīth is ḥasan as previously mentioned. And Allāh is the guardian of success.

- "The most beloved part of the meat to the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was the foreleg of the sheep." It was recorded by al-Ṭayālisī (288) and from him by Abū Dāwūd (3780 and 3781) and Aḥmad (1/397) from Zuhayr from Abū Isḥāq from Saʿd ibn ʿIyāḍ from ʿAbd Allāh, who mentioned it. In a narration by Abū Dāwūd: "He liked the foreleg." I said: Its narrators are trustworthy, men of the two Shaykhs, except for Saʿd ibn ʿIyāḍ, from whom no one narrated except Abū Isḥāq, and no one declared him trustworthy except Ibn Ḥibbān, so he is unknown. Al-Dhahabī hinted at this by saying in "al-Mīzān": "Abū Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī narrated from him only." And Abū Isḥāq was a mudallis, and he had become confused
