Ibn Ḥibbān (5/571). 4 - from Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī, marfūʿ with a similar wording. It was recorded by Aḥmad and others, and it is included in "al-Mishkāt" (4331). In addition to these Companions, there are other narrations on this topic; refer to "Majmaʿ al-Zawāʾid" (5/122-126).

- "All the wealth of the Prophet ﷺ is charity except what he fed and clothed his family with. We do not leave inheritance." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2975) and al-Tirmidhī in "al-Shamāʾil" (no. 383) through the route of Abū al-Bakhtarī, who said: "I heard a ḥadīth from a man and it pleased me, so I said: Write it down for me. He brought it to me written and arranged: al-ʿAbbās and ʿAlī entered upon ʿUmar, and with him were Ṭalḥah, al-Zubayr, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and Saʿd, and they were disputing. ʿUmar said to Ṭalḥah, al-Zubayr, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and Saʿd: Did you not know that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: (and he mentioned it) They said: Yes, he said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to spend from his wealth on his family and give the rest in charity. Then the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed away, and Abū Bakr took charge for two years, and he did what the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to do. Then he mentioned something from the ḥadīth of Mālik ibn Aws." I say: This isnād consists of narrators who are all trustworthy, the men of al-Bukhārī, except for the man who was not named. It appears he is a Companion or a major Successor, and his ḥadīth is accepted, especially if it is in support of other narrations. One of its supporting narrations is the ḥadīth of ʿĀʾishah, marfūʿ: "We do not leave inheritance; what we leave is charity. This wealth is for the family of Muḥammad, for their needs and their guests. When I die, it is for the authority after me." It was recorded by Abū Dāwūd (2977) with a good isnād from her. Its origin is in "al-Ṣaḥīḥayn" and others, without the second part of it
