he knew that he only narrates from a trustworthy source. And al-Haythamī declared him trustworthy in "al-Majmaʿ" (9/173). And Allāh knows best. Then I saw in "Thiqāt Ibn Ḥibbān" (8/181): "al-Ḥasan ibn Sahl al-Khayyāṭ (thus), narrates from Abū Usāmah and the Kufans. Al-Ḥaḍramī narrated from him." I said: So it is him, for al-Ḥaḍramī is Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd Allāh, the teacher of al-Ṭabarānī in ḥadīth, and (al-Khayyāṭ) is a scribal error, the correct [name] is (al-Ḥanāṭ) as I verified in "Taysīr al-Intifāʿ." May Allāh grant me its completion by His grace and favor. The fourth: from Yūnus ibn Abī Yaʿfūr from his father, I heard ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUmar say: I heard ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb say: then he mentioned it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (1/124/1), Abū ʿAlī al-Ṣawwāf in "al-Fawāʾid" (3/165/2), and Abū Nuʿaym in "Akhbār Aṣbahān" (1/199-200). This Yūnus is among the men of Muslim, but a group of the imams weakened him, and al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Truthful, but makes many mistakes." It was recorded by Tamām in "al-Fawāʾid" (247/2). I said: And this isnād is fabricated, its flaw is this Saif, al-Ḥāfiẓ said: "They declared him a liar." And if Muḥammad ibn ʿUkāshah is al-ʿUkāshī al-Kirmānī, then he is a liar and forger. And if he is Muḥammad ibn ʿUkāshah al-Kūfī, then he is weak.
