(al-manqilah): it is the one from which small bones are displaced and move from their places, and it is said: the one that displaces the bone, meaning it breaks it. (al-mūḍiḥah): it is from the types of wounds that reveal the clarity of the bone, meaning its whiteness.

"In a hypocrite there are three [traits]: when he speaks, he lies; when he promises, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays." It was recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Tārīkh" (4/2/386), al-Bazzār (no. 87), and al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (8080) from Yūsuf ibn al-Khaṭṭāb al-Madanī from ʿUbādah ibn al-Walīd ibn ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit who said: I heard Jābir ibn ʿAbd Allāh say: and he mentioned it as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know it to be narrated from Jābir except through this chain, and Yūsuf is unknown." However, the ḥadīth has a corroborating narration from Abū Hurayrah as a marfūʿ ḥadīth with the wording: "Three [traits] in a hypocrite even if he prays and fasts, and claims to be a Muslim, when he speaks..." the ḥadīth. It was recorded by Aḥmad (2/397) and Muslim (1/56) without narrating its complete wording from Ḥammād ibn Salamah from Dāwūd ibn Abī Hind from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib from him.
