And what Aḥmad recorded (2/202, 224, and 225) from Ḥanān ibn Khārijah from ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAmr who said: A man came to the Prophet (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) and said: O Messenger of Allāh! Tell us about the clothes of the people of Paradise—are they created anew or woven? Some of the people laughed, so the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Why do you laugh at an ignorant person asking a knowledgeable one?" Then the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) bent down, then said: "Where is the questioner?" He said: Here I am, O Messenger of Allāh! He said: "No, rather the fruits of Paradise will split open to reveal them (three times)."
- "Intentional killing is subject to retribution, and accidental killing requires blood money." It was recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" from the ḥadīth of ʿAmr ibn Ḥazm as marfūʿ. And al-Haythamī said in "al-Majmaʿ" (6/286): "And in it is ʿImrān ibn Abī al-Faḍl, who is weak." And al-Manāwī agreed with him. And I say: However, it is a ṣaḥīḥ ḥadīth, recorded by al-Dāraqutnī in "Sunan" (p. 328) through various chains from ʿAmr ibn Dīnār from Ibn ʿAbbās as marfūʿ with different wordings, the closest to the wording of the translation being: "Intentional killing is subject to retribution, and accidental killing requires compensation, not retribution..." the ḥadīth, and it is also referenced in "al-Mishkāt" (3478) and in "al-Irwāʾ" as I believe. And the first part of it has another supporting narration from the ḥadīth of ʿUthmān ibn ʿAffān as marfūʿ in a similar manner. It was recorded by al-Nasāʾī (2/169) and Aḥmad (1/63) from Maṭar al-Warrāq from Nāfiʿ from Ibn ʿUmar from him. And its chain is ḥasan in supporting narrations. (Qawad) Qawad: retribution, and killing the killer in place of the victim.
