I said: And this Maṭar is Ibn Maymūn al-Muḥāribī, and the ḥāfiẓ said: "Abandoned." 2 - As for the ḥadīth of Ḥubshī, it is narrated by Isrāʾīl ibn Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq from Abū Isḥāq from him with the wording: "ʿAlī is from me and I am from him, and none shall convey on my behalf (my religion) except me or ʿAlī." It was recorded by Aḥmad (4/164) and Ibn ʿAsākir in "Tārīkh Dimashq" (12/150/1), and its narrators are trustworthy except that Abū Isḥāq, who is al-Sabīʿī, had become confused. Moreover, he is a mudallis, but he was followed by Sharīk from Abū Isḥāq with it. And Sharīk said: "I said to Abū Isḥāq: Where did you hear it from him? He said: Such and such a place, I do not remember it." It was also recorded by Aḥmad (4/165), al-Tirmidhī (2/299), al-Nasāʾī (p. 14 - Khaṣāʾiṣ), al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (3511), and Ibn Mājah (119), and al-Tirmidhī said: "A good and strange ḥadīth." I said: Except that Sharīk has poor memory, so if he remembered it, the defect is what we mentioned of the confusion. And he was followed by Qays ibn al-Rabīʿ from Abū Isḥāq from Ḥubshī.
