and what supports this statement is that Imām Aḥmad included this ḥadīth in his "Musnad," as previously mentioned, which indicates to the knowledgeable that Ibn Abī ʿUmayrah was considered a Companion by him; otherwise, he would not have included it, as it would be considered mursal, not musnad. Furthermore, there is another chain for the ḥadīth, narrated by ʿAmr ibn Wāqid from Yūnus ibn Ḥalbas from Abū Idrīs al-Khawlānī from ʿUmayr ibn Saʿd al-Anṣārī, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) say: and he mentioned it. It was recorded by al-Tirmidhī and Ibn ʿAsākir, and al-Tirmidhī said: "It is a strange ḥadīth, and ʿAmr ibn Wāqid is weak." Then Ibn ʿAsākir narrated it from al-Walīd ibn Sulaymān from ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb in a marfūʿ manner. And he said: "Al-Walīd ibn Sulaymān did not meet ʿUmar." In conclusion, the ḥadīth is authentic, and these chains strengthen it further.

- "Go to Abū Bakr so he can tell you about the people, their days, and their lineage, then satirize them and Gabriel is with you." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (3/488-489) from Ḥātim ibn Abī Ṣaghīrah Abū Yūnus al-Qushayrī from Samāk ibn Ḥarb, raising the ḥadīth, and from Jābir from al-Suddī from al-Barāʾ ibn ʿĀzib: that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) was approached and it was said: O Messenger of Allāh! Indeed, Abū Sufyān ibn al-Ḥārith ibn ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib is satirizing you. So Ibn Rawāḥah stood and said: O Messenger of Allāh, allow me [to respond to] him. He said: Are you the one who says: "May Allāh make firm...?" He said: Yes, I said, O Messenger of Allāh, "May Allāh make firm what He has given you with the firmness of Moses and a victory like theirs."
