and in a version by Aḥmad: "until retribution is taken for the hornless sheep from the horned sheep that butted it." Its isnād is also authentic according to the criteria of Muslim. It has another chain, as Ibn Lahīʿah said: from Darrāj Abū al-Samḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, in a marfūʿ form with the wording: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, everything will dispute on the Day of Resurrection, even the two sheep over what they butted each other." Aḥmad recorded it (2/290) with an isnād that al-Mundhirī said is "ḥasan." I said: Perhaps he means for other than it, for Ibn Lahīʿah has poor memory, as does Darrāj Abū al-Samḥ. Al-Ṭabarānī narrated it in "al-Awsaṭ" in a similar manner, and al-Haythamī said: "In it is Jābir ibn Yazīd al-Juʿfī, and he is weak." ʿAbd ibn Ḥumayd, Ibn Jarīr, Ibn al-Mundhir, Ibn Abī Ḥātim, and al-Bayhaqī in "al-Baʿth" also recorded it from Abū Hurayrah, who said: "All creatures will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection, including animals, beasts, birds, and everything. It will reach the extent of Allāh's justice that He will take for the hornless from the horned, then He will say: 'Be dust,' and that is when the disbeliever will say: *'Oh, I wish I were dust.'*" Al-Suyūṭī mentioned it in "al-Durr al-Manthūr" (6/310) without commenting on its isnād, as is his habit, and it is with Ibn Jarīr (30/17) strong as mentioned earlier, and the part of it that is the evidence is certainly authentic from him in a marfūʿ form due to the previous chains and the forthcoming supporting evidences
