I said: This is a weak isnād, Ismāʿīl ibn Rāfiʿ al-Madanī, the ḥāfiẓ said: "weak in memory." And the Anṣārī man is unknown to me, but he has been followed up, as Ibn Jarīr reported it through the path of Jaʿfar ibn Burqān from Yazīd ibn al-Aṣamm from Abū Hurayrah who said: "Indeed, Allāh will gather all creatures, every beast, bird, and human, and He will say to the beasts and birds: 'Be dust,' and at that moment the disbeliever will say: *(Oh, would that I were dust)*." I said: This isnād is authentic, and its men are trustworthy, the men of Muslim except for Ibn Thawr, who is Muḥammad al-Ṣanʿānī, and although it is mawqūf, it is a strong witness for the marfūʿ because it is not said from personal opinion. It is also supported by what is with Ibn Jarīr from the path of ʿAwf from Abū al-Mughīrah from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr who said: When the Day of Judgment comes, the skin will be stretched, and the beasts, cattle, and wild animals will be gathered, then retribution will be exacted among the animals, retribution will be taken for the hornless sheep from the horned sheep that butted it, and when retribution among the animals is finished, it will be said to them: 'Be dust,' he said: and at that moment the disbeliever will say: *(Oh, would that I were dust)*. I said: And the isnād is good, its men are trustworthy, the men of the two Shaykhs except for this Abū al-Mughīrah who is al-Qawwās, not named, al-Dhahabī said in "al-Mīzān": "Sulaymān al-Tamīmī criticized him, and Ibn al-Madīnī said: I do not know anyone who narrated from him except ʿAwf." I said: But Ibn Maʿīn said: He is trustworthy as in "al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl" (4/2/439), and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him in "al-Thiqāt," so the isnād is established, and all praise is due to Allāh for His guidance
