Dughfal al-Sadūsī from ʿAbd al-Ḥamīd ibn Ṣayfī ibn Ṣuhayb from his father from his grandfather Ṣuhayb al-Khayr as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. I said: This isnād is acceptable for supporting evidence, and it meets the criteria of Ibn Ḥibbān, as he authenticated all its narrators, although there is some disagreement about some of them. (Note) Ibn ʿAsākir alone added another objectionable addition in his narration, saying: "You should use the milk of camels and cows..." He added the word "camels," which does not appear in any of the paths of the ḥadīth and its supporting evidence at all—as far as I know—so it is a false addition. This is confirmed by the fact that Ibn ʿAsākir narrated it through the path of al-Baghawī, who informed us Muḥammad ibn Bakkār informed us Qays ibn Muslim with it. Al-Baghawī himself also reported it in the previous source with this same isnād without the addition, thus proving its falsehood. I wished to say: perhaps it was an addition by some copyists, but I found that al-Suyūṭī included the ḥadīth with this addition in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" from the narration of Ibn ʿAsākir, so I knew it was established with him. It is an error from one of its narrators between him and al-Baghawī. And Allāh knows best.
دغفل السدوسي عن عبد الحميد بن صيفي بن صهيب عن أبيه عن جده صهيب الخير مرفوعا. قلت: وهذا إسناد لا بأس به في الشواهد، وهو على شرط ابن حبان، فإنه وثق جميع رجاله، وفي بعضهم خلاف. (تنبيه) زاد ابن عساكر وحده في روايته زيادة أخرى منكرة، فقال: " عليكم بألبان الإبل والبقر ... ". فزاد لفظة " الإبل "، ولم ترد في شيء من طرق الحديث وشواهده مطلقا - فيما علمت - فهي زيادة باطلة. ويؤكد ذلك أن ابن عساكر رواها من طريق البغوي أخبرنا محمد بن بكار أخبرنا قيس بن مسلم به. والبغوي نفسه أخرجه في المصدر السابق بهذا الإسناد عينه دون الزيادة، فثبت بطلانها. وكنت أود أن أقول: لعلها زيادة من بعض النساخ ولكني وجدت السيوطي قد أورد الحديث بهذه الزيادة في " الجامع الصغير " من رواية ابن عساكر، فعلمت أنها ثابتة عنده، فهو وهم من بعض رواته بينه وبين البغوي. والله أعلم.
- "Allāh favored Quraysh with seven qualities: He favored them by allowing them to worship Allāh for ten years when no one else worshiped Him except a Qurashī, He favored them by granting them victory on the Day of the Elephant while they were polytheists, He favored them by revealing a sūrah of the Quran about them that included none other than them: *For the protection of Quraysh* (Sūrah Quraysh), and He favored them by placing among them prophethood, the caliphate, the custodianship, and the provision of water."
- " فضل الله قريشا بسبع خصال: فضلهم بأنهم عبدوا الله عشر سنين لا يعبده إلاقرشي، وفضلهم بأنه نصرهم يوم الفيل وهم مشركون، وفضلهم بأنه نزلت فيهمسورة من القرآن لم يدخل فيهم غيرهم: * (لإيلاف قريش) *، وفضلهم بأن فيهمالنبوة، والخلافة، والحجابة، والسقاية ".
