and he was followed by Shuʿbah from al-Rukayn, but in the chain to him, there is someone whose memory is weak, and that is al-Raqāshī, as previously mentioned in "What Allāh Has Not Sent Down of Disease" (no. 518). In summary, the ḥadīth is authentic through these two chains from Rukayn. There is another chain from Ibn Masʿūd with an addition in the wording: "Take the milk and fats of cows, and beware of their meat, for their milk and fats are medicine and cure, and their meat is disease." It was recorded by al-Ḥākim (4/404) through the chain of Saif ibn Miskīn, who reported from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh al-Masʿūdī, from al-Ḥasan ibn Saʿd, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd, from his father, as a marfūʿ ḥadīth. Al-Ḥākim said: "Its isnād is authentic." Al-Dhahabī critiqued it in "al-Talkhīṣ" by saying: "I say: Saif was criticized by Ibn Ḥibbān," and he said in "al-Mīzān": "A shaykh who brings inversions and fabricated things, as stated by Ibn Ḥibbān." I say: It has two other defects: the confusion of al-Masʿūdī, and the likelihood of a break in the chain between ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Masʿūd and his father. Yaʿqūb ibn Shaybah said: "He is a reliable but infrequent narrator; they criticized his narration from his father due to his young age." Ibn Maʿīn said: "He heard from his father," and at another time, he said: "He did not hear from him." This is mentioned in "al-Mīzān." In "al-Taqrīb": "He is reliable from the younger generation of the second class, and he heard from his father but only a little." Thus, the ḥadīth with this addition has a weak isnād. However, something that strengthens it will be mentioned soon. It was also recorded by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (3/27/1) through the chain of ʿAbd al-Razzāq from al-Thawrī
وقد تابعه شعبة عن الركين لكن في الطريق إليه منفي حفظه ضعف وهو الرقاشي كما سبق في " ما أنزل الله من داء " (رقم - ٥١٨). وبالجملة فالحديث صحيح بهذين الطريقين عن ركين. وله طريق أخرى عن ابن مسعود بزيادة فيه بلفظ: " عليكم بألبان البقر وسمنانها وإياكم ولحومها، فإن ألبانها وسمنانها دواء وشفاء ولحومها داء ". أخرجه الحاكم (٤ / ٤٠٤) من طريق سيف بن مسكين حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله المسعودي عن الحسن بن سعد عن عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن مسعود عن أبيه مرفوعا به. وقال الحاكم: " صحيح الإسناد ". وتعقبه الذهبي في " التلخيص " بقوله: " قلت: سيف وهاه ابن حبان " وقال في " الميزان ": " شيخ يأتي بالمقلوبات والأشياء الموضوعة، قاله ابن حبان ". قلت: وله علتان أخريان: اختلاط المسعودي، ومظنة الانقطاع بين عبد الرحمن بن عبد الله بن مسعود وأبيه. قال يعقوب بن شيبة: ثقة مقل، تكلموا في روايته عن أبيه لصغره. وقال ابن معين: سمع من أبيه، وقال مرة: لم يسمع منه ". كذا في " الميزان ". وفي " التقريب ": ثقة من صغار الثانية، وقد سمع من أبيه لكن شيئا يسيرا ". فالحديث بهذه الزيادة ضعيف الإسناد. لكن يأتي ما يقويه قريبا. وأخرجه الطبراني في " الكبير " (٣ / ٢٧ / ١) من طريق عبد الرزاق عن الثوري.
