from the path of Sulaymān ibn al-Mughīrah, Thābit narrated it in the elevated form only, similar to it. It is a narration for Aḥmad (4/332, 333, 6/15). It has a corroborating narration from Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ in an elevated form similar to it. It was produced by al-Ṭayālisī (211) with an authentic chain. It has another abbreviated corroborating narration with the wording: "Wondrous is the affair of the believer; Allāh decrees nothing for him except that it is good for him."

It was narrated by ʿAbd Allāh ibn Aḥmad in the Musnad of his father (5/24) and Abū al-Faḍl al-Tamīmī in "The Copy of Abū Mashar..." (61/1) and Abū Yaʿlá (200/2) from Anas ibn Mālik who said: The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said... and he mentioned it. I said: Its chain is authentic, all its narrators are trustworthy except for Thaʿlabah, and Ibn Ḥibbān mentioned him
