"stick to horses, for goodness is tied to their forelocks until the Day of Resurrection." He said: "It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī and al-Ḍiyāʾ from Suwādah ibn al-Rabīʿ." I said: It is with al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" (6480) through the route of Muʿallá, the shaykh of al-Bukhārī, but it includes Ibn Rāshid al-ʿAmī, which is a distortion of (Asad). Then he narrated (6482) through another route from al-Marjī ibn Rajāʾ from Salm (and it appears as: Muslim!) with its isnād and matn without the ḥadīth of the translation, and without his saying: "and tell them...". Something similar is with al-Bazzār (1688).
" عليك بالخيل، فإن الخيل معقود في نواصيها الخير إلى يوم القيامة ". وقال: " رواه الطبراني والضياء عن سوادة بن الربيع ". قلت: هو عند الطبراني في " الكبير " (٦٤٨٠) من طريق معلى شيخ البخاري، لكن وقع فيه ابن راشد العمي، وهو محرف من (أسد) . ثم روى (٦٤٨٢) من طريق أخرى عن المرجي بن رجاء عن سلم (ووقع فيه: مسلم!) بإسناده ومتنه دون حديث الترجمة، ودون قوله: " وقل لهم ... ". ونحو ذلك عند البزار (١٦٨٨) .
"stick to migration, for there is nothing like it, ... , stick to fasting, for there is nothing like it, stick to prostration, for you do not prostrate to Allāh a single prostration except that Allāh raises you a degree and removes a sin from you." It was narrated by al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Kabīr" as in "al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaghīr" and "al-Kabīr" by al-Suyūṭī, from the ḥadīth of Abū Fāṭimah, and I have not found its isnād, nor anyone who spoke on its authenticity or weakness. I was able to find the entire ḥadīth except for the section on jihād, dispersed in several sources except for the omitted section indicated by the dots and its wording: "stick to jihād, for there is nothing like it." And here is the explanation: 1 - al-Nasāʾī narrated (2/182-183) through the route of Muḥammad ibn ʿĪsá ibn Samīʿ who said: Zayd ibn Wāqid narrated to us from Kathīr ibn Murrah that Abū Fāṭimah, meaning, narrated to him that he said: "O Messenger of Allāh, tell me of an action I can adhere to and perform." The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said to him: and he mentioned it, limiting it to the first section of it. I said: And this isnād is good, its men are trustworthy except for Ibn Samīʿ, for he is truthful but makes mistakes and practices tadlīs as the ḥāfiẓ said, and he explicitly stated transmission as you see. And in "al-Musnad" (3/428) there is another route narrated by Ibn Lahīʿah: al-Ḥārith ibn Yazīd narrated to us from Kathīr al-Aʿraj al-Ṣudfī who said: "I heard Abū Fāṭimah... and he mentioned it
" عليك بالهجرة فإنه لا مثل لها، ... ، عليك بالصوم فإنه لا مثل له، عليكبالسجود، فإنك لا تسجد لله سجدة إلا رفعك الله بها درجة وحط عنك بها خطيئة ". رواه الطبراني في " الكبير " كما في " الجامع الصغير " و " الكبير " للسيوطي، من حديث أبي فاطمة ولم أقف على إسناده، ولا على من تكلم عليه بتصحيح أو تضعيف، وقد استطعت الوقوف على الحديث كله إلا فقرة الجهاد، مفرقا في عدة مصادر إلا الفقرة المحذوفة والمشار إليها بالنقط ولفظها: " عليك بالجهاد فإنه لا مثل له ". وإليك البيان: ١ - أخرج النسائي (٢ / ١٨٢ - ١٨٣) من طريق محمد بن عيسى بن سميع قال: حدثنا زيد بن واقد عن كثير بن مرة أن أبا فاطمة يعني حدثه أنه قال: " يا رسول حدثني بعمل أستقم عليه وأعمله، قال له رسول الله ﷺ: فذكره مقتصرا على الفقرة الأولى منه. قلت: وهذا إسناد حسن، رجاله ثقات غير ابن سميع، فهو صدوق يخطىء ويدلس كما قال الحافظ، وقد صرح بالتحديث كما ترى. وله في " المسند " (٣ / ٤٢٨) طريق آخر يرويه ابن لهيعة حدثنا الحارث بن يزيد عن كثير الأعرج الصدفي قال: " سمعت أبا فاطمة.. فذكره.
