and it was also narrated by al-Thaqafī in "al-Fawāʾid" (vol. 9 / 5 / 2) from Saʿīd ibn al-Ṣalt, narrated to us by Abū Ẓabyah from Hilāl ibn Yasāf from Abū Hurayrah, without mentioning between them: al-Agharr. It was also extracted by al-Bazzār in "his Musnad" (no. 3) and from him by al-Bayhaqī, narrated to us by Abū Kāmil, narrated to us by Abū ʿAwānah from Manṣūr from Hilāl ibn Yasāf from Abū Hurayrah with it. Al-Bazzār said: "We do not know him narrating from him (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) except with this isnād, and ʿĪsá ibn Yūnus narrated it from al-Thawrī from Manṣūr as well. It has been narrated from Abū Hurayrah as a mawqūf report, but the marfūʿ version is more authentic." I said: It also occurred in it without mentioning (al-Agharr) in its isnād, and the apparent meaning of his words is that the narration of ʿĪsá is likewise, so I do not know whether the narration occurred with him like that, or if it is leniency from him in attributing his narration to that of Abū ʿAwānah? Whether it is this or that, the isnād is also authentic because Hilāl is a well-known tābiʿī who narrated from the Companions like ʿImrān ibn Ḥuṣayn and ʿĀʾishah and met ʿAlī (raḍiya Allāhu ʿanhu). Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (2 / 238): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī, and its narrators are narrators of the Ṣaḥīḥ." It is with al-Ṭabarānī in "al-Awsaṭ" (6533) from the path of Ḥudayj ibn Muʿāwiyah, narrated to us by Ḥuṣayn from Hilāl ibn Yasāf from al-Agharr with it. He said: "No one narrated it from Ḥuṣayn except Ḥudayj." I said: He is truthful but makes mistakes as al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb," so he is someone whose testimony is used, and it supports the inclusion of mentioning al-Agharr in the isnād. And Allāh knows best. There is another path for the ḥadīth narrated by Ḥafṣ al-Ghāḍirī from Mūsá al-Ṣaghīr from ʿUbayd Allāh ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿUtbah from Abū Hurayrah as marfūʿ with the wording: "Even after he is afflicted by the punishment."
