(1/123) and perhaps for this reason, al-Mundhirī said (1/152): "It was narrated by al-Bazzār and al-Ṭabarānī with an isnād that is acceptable." However, the ḥadīth has supporting evidence that strengthens it from the ḥadīth of Ubayy ibn Kaʿb, which is raised similarly. It was recorded by Ibn Abī Shaybah in "al-Muṣannaf" (1/131/1), Abū Dāwūd, al-Nasāʾī, and others, and authenticated by al-Ḥākim and others. It is also included in "Ṣaḥīḥ Abī Dāwūd" (563) and elsewhere.

"Leave the people to act, for in Paradise there are one hundred levels, the distance between each two levels is like that between the heaven and the earth. Al-Firdaws is the highest and middle part of Paradise, and above it is the Throne of the Most Merciful, and from it the rivers of Paradise flow. So when you ask Allāh, ask Him for al-Firdaws." It was narrated by al-Tirmidhī (3/325-326 - Tuhfah) and Aḥmad (5/240-241) from ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Muḥammad from Zayd ibn Aslam from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from Muʿādh ibn Jabal that the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: "Whoever fasts during Ramaḍān, prays the prayer, and performs the pilgrimage to the House—I do not know if he mentioned zakāh or not—it is incumbent upon Allāh to forgive him, whether he emigrated in the path of Allāh or remained in the land where he was born." Muʿādh said: "Shall I not inform the people of this?" The Messenger of Allāh (ṣallá Allāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) replied... "He mentioned it, and the context is from al-Tirmidhī, who said: "This ḥadīth has been narrated in this way from Hishām ibn Saʿd from Zayd ibn Aslam from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from Muʿādh ibn Jabal, and this is more authentic in my view than the ḥadīth of Hammām from Zayd ibn Aslam from ʿAṭāʾ ibn Yasār from ʿUbādah ibn al-Ṣāmit, and ʿAṭāʾ did not meet Muʿādh ibn Jabal, and Muʿādh died early, during the caliphate of ʿUmar."
