"lenient in ḥadīth, Ibn Ḥibbān exaggerated in this regard." 4 - As for the ḥadīth of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb, it is narrated by al-Naḍr ibn Ḥumayd from Saʿd from al-Shaʿbī from him, in a marfūʿ form, and he added: "Acts of kindness protect against evil fates, maintaining family ties increases lifespan and expands provision, and frequently mentioning (lā ḥawla wa-lā quwwata illā bi-Allāh) is a treasure from the treasures of Paradise, and it contains a cure for ninety-nine ailments, the least of which is anxiety." It was recorded by Abū Bakr al-Dhakwānī in "Ithnā ʿAshara Majlisan" (9/2). I say: And this isnād is very weak, this al-Naḍr: al-Bukhārī said: "His ḥadīth is rejected." And Abū Ḥātim said: "Abandoned in ḥadīth." 5 - As for the ḥadīth of Ibn Masʿūd, it is narrated by Naṣr ibn Ḥammād ibn ʿAjlān al-ʿAjlī who said: ʿĀṣim ibn Tamīm al-Bajalī informed us from ʿĀṣim ibn Bahdalah from Abū Wāʾil from Ibn Masʿūd in a marfūʿ form, and he added at the beginning: "Maintaining family ties increases lifespan." It was recorded by al-Qaḍāʿī in "Musnad al-Shihāb" (11/1) and Ibn al-Muḥibb wrote, as I believe, in the margin of the copy: "Naṣr ibn Ḥammād is destroyed." I say: And in "al-Taqrīb": "Weak, al-Azdī exaggerated and claimed that he fabricates." I say: And the addition at the beginning has many supporting narrations in "al-Targhīb" (vol. 3, pp. 223 and 224) and some of them have been previously referenced under numbers (276 and 513)
