the ḥadīth, in its entirety, is ḥasan, especially since part of it is supported by another narration recorded by al-Bukhārī in "al-Adab al-Mufrad" (no. 1308) from al-Barāʾ ibn Yazīd, from ʿAbd Allāh ibn Shuqayq, from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "The worst of my nation are the talkative, the boastful, and the arrogant, and the best of my nation are those with the best character." This isnād [chain of transmission] consists of trustworthy men, the men of "al-Ṣaḥīḥ," except for al-Barāʾ, who is Ibn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Yazīd al-Baṣrī. Al-Ḥāfiẓ said in "al-Taqrīb": "Weak." There is another route for it with al-Bazzār (p. 324 - Zawāʾid Ibn Ḥajar) from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād, from ʿUmārah ibn Rāshid, from Abū Hurayrah, raised [to the Prophet] with the wording: "Indeed, among the worst of my nation are those who are nourished by luxury and whose bodies grow upon it." Al-Mundhirī said in "al-Targhīb" (3/125): "Its narrators are trustworthy except for ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ziyād ibn Anʿam." I say: He is the African, and they have weakened him, as al-Dhahabī said in "al-Kāshif." As for the statement of al-Haythamī (10/250): "He has been deemed reliable, and the majority consider him reliable, and the rest of the narrators are trustworthy." there is some doubt about it. I say: Such a narration can be used as supporting evidence, and Allāh knows best.
